Welcome Back, Melrose Manatees!

Dear Melrose Elementary Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I hope each of you enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with rest, relaxation, and special moments with family and friends. As we begin another exciting year together, I am thrilled to welcome our students, families, and staff back to school.

As I enter my third year as the proud principal of Melrose Elementary, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead. Together, we have accomplished incredible things, and I am proud to share that Melrose Elementary earned a school grade of "A" for the 2025-2026 school year! This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, staff, families, and community partners. Thank you for helping make this success possible.

Our theme for this school year is "It's Only UP from Here!" This theme reminds us that excellence is not a destination but a journey. We will continue to build upon our successes, challenge ourselves to reach new heights, and ensure every student has the opportunity to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

One of the many things that makes Melrose special is our incredible HOUSE System, which fosters leadership, character, teamwork, and school pride. We are excited to continue strengthening this program and creating meaningful experiences for our students throughout the year.

We also recognize the vital role families play in student success. This year, we are excited to expand opportunities for family engagement through programs such as Moms Making Moments and All Pro Dads. These initiatives provide wonderful opportunities for parents and caregivers to become actively involved in our school community while creating lasting memories with their children. We look forward to partnering with you as we continue to build strong relationships that support student achievement.

Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for the arrival of our students. We are eager to welcome back all of our Manatees, rested, refreshed, and ready to learn. We know this year will be filled with growth, discovery, and countless opportunities for success.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we will make the 2026-2027 school year our best one yet. We cannot wait to see our students' smiling faces and hear the halls filled with laughter, learning, and Melrose pride once again.

Remember, Melrose Manatees...it's only UP from here!

With excitement and appreciation,

Greetings,

I am Brandi Williams-Miller, and I am excited to begin my third year as the Assistant Principal here at Melrose Elementary School. Last year, we made incredible strides together, celebrating student growth, building strong relationships, and fostering a positive learning environment.  As we begin a new school year, I am filled with excitement and renewed commitment to continue the important work of supporting our scholars, empowering our staff, and engaging our families.

I am a product of Pinellas County Schools and a proud graduate of Bethune Cookman University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I received my master’s degree in educational leadership from National Louis University.  I served as an Assistant Principal prior to coming to Melrose, Literacy Coach, and I’ve taught 1st and 2nd grade.

I am a transformational leader, committed to student success.  I will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to create a positive, impactful, and supportive learning environment for all scholars. I am truly honored to serve the students and families of Melrose Elementary and am excited for the work ahead!
